Bryan Harris of the “Video Fruit” team launched his online course and made over $200,000 in just 10 days.
The course was on how to grow an online following, it was called “Get 10,000 Subscribers”.
In its first 24 hours, the course made $72,000.
Over its first 10 days it got 262 people to pay just over $800 each on average, with total invoiced sales reaching $220,750.
Though, Bryan has a few caveats.
This wasn't some get rich quick, overnight success story.
It took months of commitment to get to the point where he could have a six figure launch like that.
Here were some of his caveats:
- It took a lot of work – this was NOT a get rich quick story.
- A launch like this takes a competent team – he did not do this all by himself.
- The goal with his story was to ‘demystify' the process of creating and launching a successful course, demonstrating exactly how he did it.
How did they do it?
They started with a blog.
Yup… just a regular old content blog site.
With this blog, he built up a modest email list of 13,000 active subscribers.
He did some research to find out exactly what his list would want and then sold them on the course.
The thing is that he didn't even have a course yet – people paid for a course before it was even built.
This is actually a standard practice in the elearning industry.
It gives you a chance to find your customers first and then find out exactly what they want, delivering a course that is catered directly to their needs.
After selling the course, it took him 90 days to create it and send it out to his customers.
What they emphasized the most was to do just do it.
Forget about the fear and hesitation, just dive in.
The elearning industry is presenting an enormous opportunity that we may never see ever again.
It’s something that anybody can be successful in with some time and energy invested.
A large portion of their sales were made before the course was even created.
They launched the course to the most active segments of their email list, which they had built by offering free value on their blog.
