Everyone’s talking about Snapchat lately.
It’s the hot new thing the kids are all using these days, isn’t it?
Instagram actually added features specifically because Snapchat pioneered them — in particular, the “Stories” feature.
So if you’re targeting young millennials or a Gen Z audience, you’d think hooking up with some top Snapchat influencers would be a sure thing.
But maybe not.
Despite its rising popularity over the last few years, things aren’t looking quite so promising right now.
Hubspot just published some fresh new statistics about Snapchat Stories, as contrasted with Instagram Stories.
And the thing is, it looks like Instagram is winning out.
This is especially true when it comes to key influencers, the kind of people who could blast your brand into overnight fame with little more than a quick snapshot and a hashtag.
One of the most shocking findings was that Snapchat’s seen a recent 33% decrease in activity from influencers.
Is this a temporary shift in the winds of fate, or a warning sign that Snapchat’s time is limited?
